This is what we do

We started the inception of the idea to bring multiple products to Taiwan as it was spurred after meeting new people and friends and sharing the differences in the food aspect and as we spoke we wished to give the flavors instantly while speaking but no institutions have products originating from South Africa, so each year we would bring some of the flavors along for them to try, it was a good experience seeing how the different flavors would be accepted.

As the time went on each year meeting more and new people, some has lived in South Africa and tasted some of the flavors that are not readily available, however, the new friends then made us think that we should be able to provide these products to the people that have not had the opportunity to travel to South Africa, instead provide these products closer to home for their enjoyment.

South African wine has not been represented fully in Taiwan and decided to start with planning to provide another aspect to the culture and provide another side of the world taste for the clients and those that do reminiscence to some events and stays they might have had in the distant country, and for those who will be bold and try new items as they feel a bit adventurous.

Furthermore, we are a small enterprise that will provide wine from Robertson Wines, which is a picture-perfect valley where the sun overflows over the mountain peaks onto the vineyard with the perfect climate and landscape that provides award-winning wines that have to be shared with you. With the humble beginnings from 1852 in the town of Robertson, South Africa, where the population of generous and welcoming people resides, a hard-working community that tends the farmland, where the quality wine is produced and shared with the world.

Our Story

This is how it happend

Our relationship with Taiwan started in 2018 as the Director was invited to visit the country and have a holiday, he traveled to Taiwan and upon arrival saw a small island with big cities and was a bit amazed but yet a bit skeptical as the nature aspect is not present and no beaches, however having to wait a few hours at the hotel before he could check into the hotel he started wandering the streets and walking around the hotel looking at the businesses and how people did their daily routines, he decided to walk to the Taipei 101 building which was 3km away not knowing how convenient it could be to just have a taxi.

After he walked back to the hotel and booked in and got dressed he set out around the corner of the hotel he passed a small bar and there is where he made his new friends of Taiwan. They welcomed him in with not much English and using a translator to communicate at first they became friends and they were kind enough to take him on a tour to Jiufen night market for the day, and every day they would drink and eat at the shop.

The following year (2019) he returned to Taiwan to see the friends and the group has grown and many more good evening ensued and with that, he started feeling more at home and decided to look for some way to return and stay with the friends that are treating him perfectly and when he returned back home, he felt a longing to return even for just a short period of time and he returned to Taiwan for Christmas 2019 and met up with the friends and the girl that has invited me to Taiwan for the first time whom has created a life-changing opportunity.

Whilst on the trip he met a few other friends who own 626 S.V.G Luxury Wine & Cigar Lounge, and they have become friends and his business idea has been born and would have liked to start with giving the clients another taste of wine from another country.

After his return, he started looking for registering the business in Taiwan, during the start of the year and registration he has completed the near impossible to register and plan the business during the covid situation and still succeeded to return to meet the friends and complete business and meet more great people that allowed him to feel the culture and events that showed him the kindness of the people of Taiwan and meet with the girl that invited him in 2018 and has assisted him throughout the process of the registrations and planning of returning, Tiffany has been a very important role to the success of the decision for the return and business.

In the valley of the town of Robertsons where the vineyard is nestled between the mountains scapes provided a picture perfect setting for sunset and sunrise, the vineyard receive the abundance of great weather to ensure the cultivation of decadent red grapes soon to be picked and the best to be used for a radiant red wine with the flavor that will leave you with the feeling to have more.
